Caring, compassionate counseling in your home, residential facility, or telehealth.
Exclusively in Northern Colorado for 20 years.
Martha Steve Sutherland, PsyD, PLLC
I completed a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Human Development from the University of Kansas, and Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Adler University (formerly Adler School of Professional Psychology). I also have specialized training in trauma and EMDR.
I have worked in a hospital based program, a trauma treatment program, and then in a private practice in the Chicago area before moving to Colorado 20 years ago. I have practiced exclusively in Northern Colorado for the past 20 years, seeing clients in my office, their homes, and assisted living and healthcare facilities. My practice has focused on working with seniors and individuals with chronic health issues. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, grief/loss, life stage transition/adjustment, caregiver stress, and trauma.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, compassionate, and client-centered, focusing on supportive loss processing and developing coping strategies to soothe and manage the stressors and losses associated with life stage transition and health complications/limitations.
